What is actually in GUYSTUFF shower gel, tier by tier

GUYSTUFF Original is built in three tiers: a cleansing tier, a conditioning tier and a botanical tier. They work as a system, not as one hero ingredient. Here is what is in each, what is not, and why we show you the lot.

Tier 1: cleanse

This is the part that does the washing. Cleansers lift dirt and oil off the skin so that water can rinse them away. Ours are Decyl Glucoside and Coco-Glucoside, which are derived from plant sources, and Cocamidopropyl Betaine, a cleanser that is commonly used alongside them. Together they make up the cleansing system.

Tier 2: condition

Glycerin and aloe sit alongside the cleansers. They are there so the formula is not only about cleaning.

Tier 3: botanical

Guarana, sage, nettle, ginkgo and moringa make up the botanical tier. They are one part of the formula, not the point of it. We will not tell you any single extract does something on its own, because that would be a claim we cannot back up.

What is left out

• SLS. Sodium lauryl sulfate is a common foaming agent. It is not in ours.
• Parabens.
• Phthalates.

It is also cruelty-free and vegan-friendly.

pH 5.5

We state the pH on the label and on the website. 5.5 is the number. Not every brand prints theirs.

Why we show the full list

Because you should be able to read what you are using, and because "ask us" is a poor answer to a simple question. If a shower gel will not show you its ingredients, that tells you something. Our full list is on the back of the bottle.
